As a Technical Delivery Manager at United Wholesale Mortgage, you will be responsible for the organization, coordination, execution, and timely delivery of one or more Applications and/or Software products. Our ideal candidate will have strong ownership skills, be detailed oriented, have excellent oral and written communication skills, and can quickly fluctuate between working independently and collaboratively. A track record of success in incremental agile delivery is a must, as is the ability to execute in our fast-paced environment, where code is deployed frequently. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Working with Senior IT Leadership to execute against our key strategic initiatives within IT, and work towards UWM company goals
  • Planning projects, creating high level work breakdowns and monitoring execution progress
  • Managing risks / issues and leading teams to take corrective measures
  • Facilitating communication across project / product cross-functional teams
  • Aligning deliverables to the project’s outcome
  • Coordinating multiple workstreams and reconciling the dependencies among them
  • Managing stakeholder communication
  • Contributing thought leadership and leveraging best practices for execution efficiency and organizational agility to foster innovation across technology teams

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

Must Have:

  • 2+ years development experience in an agile environment
  • Experience in software development delivery
  • Exposure to infrastructure technology
  • Demonstrated experience leading projects or programs in an agile at scale environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to create a wide variety of materials in a timely manner, and the ability to describe complex systems and processes simply and concisely to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Curiosity, with a drive to learn more about new concepts, ideas, and technologies
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to lead work from inception through execution
  • A solution-focused mindset during challenges, and the ability to make decisions with limited guidance  
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a willingness to take initiative, while juggling several priorities
  • Ability to both work independently and collaboratively, with a positive attitude, a 'yes' mentality, and the ability to connect and build relationships quickly
  • This position requires on-site attendance in Pontiac, Michigan

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in the mortgage industry
  • Experience with work tracking tools, like Jira
  • Computer Science degree/or equivalent work experience
