Our Training team is one of the fastest growing areas within UWM, which houses some of our most talented team members. Our Instructional Designer will partner with teams throughout the supported areas to provide necessary trainings or materials to team members. We need a team member who can dig deep with business leaders to determine training needs then create a plan to accomplish those training needs. The Instructional Designer will be expected to create and maintain training material and process documentation, through the use of our internal programs. The designer we’re looking for should communicate at a high level and possess writing and computer skills.
Partnering with Training team members and business leaders to develop training that meets the needs of the company, teams, and learners
Designing and developing Initial, Ongoing, and Continuous Improvement training for various roles throughout the organization by creating course designs, job aids, participant guides, visual aids, PowerPoints, and more
Creating assessment tools to measure learning, knowledge retention, and performance
Seeking training evaluation and feedback to continuously improve training programs and material
Developing learning management content including technology announcements, surveys, and more
Providing feedback to Training team members to support the improvement of content creation and facilitation
Analyzing metrics to identify training opportunities
Acting as a backup to trainers for facilitating Initial, Ongoing, and Continuous Improvement training for various roles, if needed
Must Have Qualifications:
1-year of experience in the design/development of training materials
6 Months of experience in computer-based training design/development
Advanced experience with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization
Ability to explain complex information in clear, concise terms
Strong collaboration with team members and business leaders
Must be detail-oriented
Results-oriented, with the ability to complete assignments on time and manage multiple priorities concurrently
Maintain a positive attitude and exude confidence
Actively seek coaching and feedback
Exceptional work ethic, customer service, and interpersonal skills
Approach tasks and projects with a Yes Mentality

Experience in a mortgage-related role
Previous training experience
Experience as an Instructional Designer
Proven track record of implementing the ADDIE process and Kirkpatrick model
Experience with Articulate Storyline and Articulate Rise, or other eLearning software
