The Corporate Training and Leadership Development teams at UWM are dedicated to nurturing the growth and advancement of employees at all levels within the organization. These teams play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development, ensuring that UWM remains at the forefront of the mortgage industry. Key functions include but are not limited to training programs, leadership development, performance enhancement, learning resources, and innovation.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

CORPORATE TRAINING

The Corporate Training team at UWM is dedicated to enhancing employee skills and knowledge through comprehensive training programs that drive personal and professional growth.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Learn adult theory
  • Help facilitate team building activities and escape rooms
  • Build job aids and strategic communication plans for the team
  • Shadow and provide feedback on trainings
  • Develop a training for UWM

 

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

The Leadership Development team at United Wholesale Mortgage (UWM) focuses on cultivating future leaders through targeted programs and initiatives that build advanced leadership capabilities and drive organizational success.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Research and create a Team Building Activity on Servant Leadership for the Leadership Development team
  • Assist our Instructional Designers in creating course designs
  • Shadow Trainings and offer feedback on how we can improve
  • Assist the Coordinators in event planning
  • Organize UWM’s Leadership Library

 

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • Graduating with a bachelor’s degree in 2025 or 2026 (current junior/senior status)
  • The ability to work Monday thru Friday, 40-hours a week, fully on-site in Pontiac, MI from the end of May to mid-August
  • An openness to learning, willingness to be coached, and ability to be flexible in our every-changing industry
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment
  • A strong work ethic
  • A drive to succeed 

 

NICE TO HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experienced with facilitating or presenting information
  • Interested in the learning & development field
  • Interested in Adult Learning Theory
  • Exhibits a growth mindset
