The Servicing Quality Control Auditor will perform audits, review audit results on loans being currently serviced/sold by United Wholesale Mortgage. This includes an analysis of loan boarding, payments, Performing Loan requirements and non-performing loan requirements. These requirements include but are not limited to Servicing Investor guidelines (FNMA.FHLMC, FHA etc.), Federal and State regulations. Review and validate defect notifications received from internal and external sources to diminish exposure to repurchase risk. The auditor will review calls and other work performed by the customer care team as well as the sub servicer call team. This role requires onsite attendance.
Review and validate identified errors and conditions as a result of an internal or external audit on all Servicing related issues: including but not limited to all Servicing Mortgage Investor Guidelines (Ginnie Mae, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac etc..) and Federal or State Applicable related Servicing Guidelines.
Assess defects for validity against Agency, Federal guidelines and United Shore internal policies
Hold monthly and quarterly Department meetings to discuss trends as necessary.
Help Internal Departments with identifying root cause of errors.
Effectively communicate with wide variety of internal parties to resolve defects
Review of external source audits to mitigate risk
Required:
High School Graduate or greater.
Strong knowledge of Federal and Agency (FNMA /FHLMC) Servicing guidelines and procedures
5 plus years' Servicing experience or Service/mortgage auditing experience
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred:
College Degree
FHA and/or VA knowledge
Servicing and/or Loss Mitigation experience
