The Quality Control Auditor – Default will perform quality audits of the two sub-servicers that UWM utilizes for the servicing of all mortgage loans. This includes an analysis of default milestones such as collections, foreclosure, bankruptcy and claims. The Audits performed include but are not limited to Servicing Investor guidelines (FNMA.FHLMC, FHA etc.), Federal and State regulations. This role requires
• Manage comprehensive audits of mortgage servicing processes, ensuring thorough evaluation of compliance and operational effectiveness
• Review and analyze complex data sets related to servicing performance, identifying trends, risks, and areas for improvement
• Prepare and present detailed audit reports to senior management, highlighting findings, risks, and actionable recommendations
• Review and validate identified errors and conditions as a result of an internal or external audit on all Servicing related issues: including but not limited to all Servicing Mortgage Investor Guidelines (Ginnie Mae, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac etc..) and Federal or State Applicable related Servicing Guidelines
• Assist in the development and implementation of audit procedures and methodologies
• Review servicing files, default milestones (collections, foreclosure, etc.) for accuracy and completeness
• Assess defects for validity against Agency, Federal guidelines and UWM internal policies
• Prepare detailed audit reports summarizing findings and conclusions
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of audit information
• Other duties as assigned
Required:
High School Graduate or equivalent
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong knowledge of Federal and Agency (FNMA /FHLMC, etc.) Servicing guidelines
• 2 plus years' default Servicing or mortgage auditing experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience using Microsoft Suite
Preferred:
• College Degree
• Default Mortgage Servicing experience
