Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated team member to manage and guide our desktop engineering team. This role is responsible for leading the design, deployment, and support of end-user computing environments, ensuring optimal performance, security, and user experience across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and mentor a team of desktop engineers and admins to support, maintain, and enhance the desktop infrastructure.
• Design and implement desktop solutions including Windows image management, application packaging, and software deployment.
• Ensure patch management and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with IT leadership and other teams to align desktop engineering initiatives with broader IT strategies.
• Oversee incident and problem management related to desktop services, ensuring timely resolution.
• Ensure high availability and performance of desktop systems, including monitoring and proactive maintenance.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and best practices to enhance user productivity and system reliability.
• Develop and maintain documentation, deployment guides, and knowledge base articles.
• Drive continuous improvement through automation, scripting (e.g., PowerShell), and process optimization.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience in desktop engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior role.
• Strong expertise in Windows OS deployment (e.g., SCCM, Intune, JAMF).
• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365.
• Knowledge of endpoint protection platforms, patching tools, and desktop virtualization (e.g., VDI).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.

• Knowledge of the ServiceNow platform and reporting
• Experience with macOS support and MDM platforms like Jamf.
• Familiarity with ITIL practices and service management frameworks.
• Scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Python, etc.).
