We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Android Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing high-quality mobile applications and a passion for building innovative solutions. As a Senior Android Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our Android applications, ensuring performance, quality, and responsiveness.
• Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Work with outside data sources and APIs.
• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
• Mentor and guide junior developers, sharing your expertise and knowledge.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with the team.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven working experience in Android app development.
• Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.
• Experience with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
• Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.
• Understanding of Google's Android design principles and interface guidelines.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git, Bitbucket.
• Experience with Kotlin and Java.
• Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose for building modern Android UIs.
• Experience with unit testing and UI testing frameworks, including Espresso tests.
Preferred:
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks.
• Experience with continuous integration.
• Experience in developing and maintaining complex, high-performance mobile applications.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with React and iOS development is a plus.
