The Servicing Trainer will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering comprehensive training programs for our mortgage loan servicing team. This role requires a knowledgeable and engaging trainer with a deep understanding of loan servicing processes and regulations. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a passion for teaching, and the ability to enhance the skills and knowledge of our servicing staff. This position requires 100% on-site attendance at our headquarters in Pontiac, MI.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Design, develop, and deliver training programs for new hires and existing team members in the loan servicing team, covering topics such as mortgage loan servicing, payment processing, escrow management, loss mitigation, collections and regulatory compliance.
  • Assess training needs and create customized training plans to address knowledge gaps and enhance employee performance.
  • Develop training materials, including presentations, manuals, job aids, and e-learning modules.
  • Conduct classroom and on-the-job training sessions to ensure team members have a thorough understanding of servicing processes and procedures.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics, making adjustments as needed to improve outcomes.
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to ensure training content is up-to-date and relevant.
  • Collaborate with team leaders and subject matter experts to identify training needs and develop targeted training solutions.
  • Provide ongoing support and coaching to team members to reinforce learning and ensure the application of skills in the workplace.
  • Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and outcomes.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the Servicing team.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • Bachelor Degree or Minimum of 3 years of experience in mortgage servicing, with at least 2 years in a training or instructional role.
  • In-depth knowledge of mortgage servicing processes, including payment processing, escrow management, loss mitigation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate learners.
  • Strong instructional design and curriculum development skills.
  • Proficiency in using training software and technology platforms, including e-learning tools and learning management systems (LMS).
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess training needs and evaluate training effectiveness.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build positive relationships with employees at all levels.
