Our IT infrastructure team is looking to add a motivated A/V Support Technician to assist us with our growing operations. In this role you will work in support of all areas of UWM IT operations. This is a great opportunity to grow your career within our IT division. You will expand your knowledge of the set-up, operation, and control of a variety of audio-visual equipment utilized for presentations in large and medium auditoriums, training and conference room settings, software and hardware support and installation, project management, and how IT is applied to the mortgage origination process.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive A/V support for live events, including setup, operation, and troubleshooting of all related equipment.
Manage and respond to incident calls with a high level of client service, promptly diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
Conduct regular functionality checks and preventative maintenance on conference and training room A/V systems.
Operate and manage auditorium technologies, including lighting systems, camera systems, audio mixers, and video switchers.
Handle recording and streaming of events, ensuring high-quality output.
Perform display diagnostics and troubleshooting to maintain visual presentation standards.
Utilize and manage Crestron Mercury functionality, Vitec Management or similar TV Management Systems, and RDP tools such as UltraVNC and SCCM.
Assist with various A/V projects, including equipment build outs, software rollouts, and implementing new technologies.
Qualifications and Skills:
Technical Skills:
Basic understanding of video switching systems.
Basic understanding of networking
Understanding of MacOS & Windows operating systems
Familiarity with auditorium technologies, including lighting, cameras, and audio mixers.
Knowledge of recording software and equipment with a basic understanding of audio/video
Experience with the Adobe software suite, DaVinci Resolve, or related software a plus.
Proficiency in computer hardware and software troubleshooting and basic computer repair.
Experience with display diagnostic and troubleshooting procedures.
Basic understanding of Crestron Mercury functionality or similar casting devices.
Experience with Vitec Management or a similar TV Management System is preferred.
Basic understanding of RDP Tools (e.g., UltraVNC, SCCM).
