Information Technology is one of the fastest-growing teams within UWM, and we need a rock star Trainer to get our team members up and running and functioning at the highest level! The Developer Technical Trainer will be responsible for the progression of team members in our developer role. The role will include our developers' training in everything from technology (.NET, JavaScript, SQL, C#, etc.) to process and architecture. As a senior technical trainer, you will also be responsible for aiding leadership in architecting existing and future training programs. I will also be your responsibility to assist in the mentoring and coaching of other technical trainers.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Partnering with IT leadership in providing accurate, relevant, and practical training
  •  Act as the subject matter experts (SME) in the development of materials to teach
  • Facilitating ongoing technical training for IT team members
  • Acting as a mentor to junior developers, providing 1-on-1 shadow/coaching sessions
  • Collaborating with fellow trainers within IT and other areas to help our teams fulfill their training needs
  • Continuously gather new best practice work samples and provide opportunities to help improve the training programs.
  • Make recommendations on new training sessions by leveraging the latest techniques and technologies
  • Collaborate with leaders to establish and monitor metrics to ensure the success of the programs.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

Must Have Qualifications:

  • Experience with object oriented programming (C#)
  • Experience using SQL Server
  • Experience using web based technologies (ASP.NET, JavaScript, CSS)
  • This position requires on-site attendance
  • Strong work ethic
  • Good communication and team-building skills
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills

Nice To Have Qualifications:

  • Previous training experience
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Experience with Git
  • Experience developing enterprise software
