As a Senior IT Quality Assurance Analyst at United Wholesale Mortgage, you will join a growing team of QA experts skilled in test planning and execution. You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and stability of the software that powers the most innovative and disruptive company in the fintech space.

 

We operate in a fast-paced, Agile environment where code is deployed frequently – and we are moving rapidly toward true on-demand deployment. If you’re driven, detail-oriented, and passionate about quality assurance testing practices, this role is for you.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Designing, building, and managing test plans and strategies of multiple concurrent projects
  • Serving as a subject matter expert in United Wholesale Mortgage's applications, tools, and testing/defect processes
  • Following industry-standard defect management processes and ensuring proper documentation
  • Collaborating with development, product, and quality engineering to ensure smooth delivery
  • Conducting peer reviews of test cases to ensure rigor and consistency
  • Performing manual testing and contributing to automated test creation
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance and streamline testing processes

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

Must Have:

  • 7+ years of experience in software testing
  • Ability to develop modular, reusable and maintainable tests
  • Knowledge in QA automation tools and capabilities within PlayWright Automation frameworks
  • Able to clearly communicate complex technical issues and solutions to non-technical audience
  • Experience testing web services using tools such as SoapUI, REST, PostMan or similar
  • Experience defining test strategy in collaboration with business stakeholders
  • Experience supporting the integration of automation into CI/CD tooling
  • Experience managing projects, test cases and defects effectively
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts
  • Hands-on experience with database testing or SQL
  • Ability to mentor less experienced team members
  • Available for on-call testing outside of standard schedule
  • Ability to work 100% on-site in Pontiac, Michigan

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in the mortgage or financial services knowledge
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Information Systems
  • Familiarity with Playwright, K6, LoadRunner or similar performance/automation platforms
  • Experience using Generative AI to support quality planning or automation
  • Experience with Jira
