We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Engineer with a strong background in both Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will be a cloud computing expert, responsible for the architecture, deployment, and operational support of our cloud environments. This role requires deep technical proficiency in Kubernetes services (AKS, GKE), disaster recovery strategies, scaling solutions, and various networking components within both Azure and GCP.
Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions across Azure and GCP, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
Administer and optimize Kubernetes clusters, specifically Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), including deployment, scaling, and troubleshooting.
Develop and implement robust disaster recovery (DR) strategies and solutions, including the utilization of Azure Site Recovery.
Implement and manage scaling solutions for applications and infrastructure to meet fluctuating demands efficiently.
Configure and maintain Azure networking components such as Azure App Gateway, Azure Load Balancers, and Private Networking solutions.
Define and enforce secure ingress and egress patterns for cloud-based applications and services.
Monitor cloud environments for performance, cost optimization, and security compliance, responding to incidents and alerts as needed.
Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of cloud services.
Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates).
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members and contribute to best practices and documentation.
Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and trends, evaluating and recommending new solutions to enhance our cloud capabilities.
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role, with significant hands-on experience in both Azure and GCP environments.
Deep understanding of cloud computing concepts, including IaaS, PaaS, and Serverless architectures.
Expertise in Kubernetes (AKS and GKE), including deployment, management, and troubleshooting.
Strong experience in designing and implementing disaster recovery (DR) strategies, with specific knowledge of Azure Site Recovery.
Proficiency in implementing and managing scaling solutions for cloud resources and applications.
Extensive experience with Azure networking services, including Azure App Gateway, Azure Load Balancing, and Private Networking configurations.
Familiarity with ingress and egress patterns for secure and efficient traffic management.
Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash).
Solid understanding of security best practices in cloud environments.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Heavily Preferred:
Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect, Kubernetes Administrator).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Google Cloud Operations Suite, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
Experience with database services in Azure and GCP (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, Cloud SQL, BigQuery)
