Business Specialist - Capital Markets

The primary focus of this position will be to support the Capital Markets team, helping to create and implement new processes and procedures in order to expedite resolution of items and create a standardized response/process. The position is responsible for researching issues, preparing a recommendation for resolution and implementing the resolution. The team member will develop new reports and work with the team to evolve processes to support overall Company goals.  The team member will assist with escalation related requests and will work to resolve these expediently. 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Research requests, develop proposals and work with necessary teams to implement solutions for programmatic resolution
  • Owner of Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) and Audit related requests, responses and support
  • BPT Product Owner (project management) for projects that impact trading, modeling, pooling and loan delivery
  • Handle all escalation requests related to single loan issues
  • Develop processes and job aids to support new processes related to business growth or new product/process rollouts
  • Streamlines and enhances existing processes
  • Builds adhoc analysis and reporting as requested

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics or applicable area
  • 2-5 years prior work experience in Mortgages: Underwriting, Capital Markets, and/or Secondary Marketing.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with a focus on details
  • Desire to dig-in, research and solve problems independently (problem solving)
  • Must be able to complete projects and tasks independently
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivation and drive
  • Strong writing skills (job aid & process documentation skills)
