Social Media Strategist I

The Social Media Strategist helps drive the growth of the wholesale mortgage channel through developing social strategies and leading content coordination of our BeAMortgageBroker.com and FindAMortgageBroker.com social media channels. This role also develops and coordinates monthly social media content our clients post in order to help them grow their business.


As a Social Media Strategist, you'll play an active role in coming up with new on-brand topics/ideas in alignment with our social media strategies, with a primary focus on paid campaigns. The ideal candidate is someone who is driven, takes initiative, and really understands how to think strategically. 


  • Own the strategy, set-up and execution of paid social media campaigns to generate leads (incorporate advanced targeting, including first-party data)
  • Own the creation of monthly content calendars and provide creative direction to achieve business goals and ensure that all content remains on-brand
  • Create post copy for social posts using each brand voice
  • Manage all social media channels (Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube) by publishing updates, handling reputation management and engaging with fans
  • Routinely monitor social metrics to gauge post performance and provide insights, recommendations and optimizations
  • Routinely research emerging social technology, newsfeed algorithms, trending pop culture, etc. to keep our brands at the forefront of the social universe
  • Align with the brand teams to make sure messaging stays on target, collaborating on new ideas and campaigns


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing/Advertising or related field
  • 2-4 years experience in social media or digital execution (please provide examples of your experience developing social content/strategies)
  • Experience with Paid Social preferred
  • Experience with building a social campaign from scratch
  • A desire to understand and impact a wide variety of marketing efforts
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to balance multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Operates efficiently in a dynamic environment and can switch focus based on company priorities
  • Collaborative mindset, works well on a team
