The Branded Content Developer is a unique role on the digital marketing team that straddles content strategy, brand management, and content development. This role is responsible for conceiving, creating, and managing high-quality content for our recruiting site, UWMCareers.com, recruitment profiles, ad campaigns and more.

In this role, you’ll have an eye for detail and a keen understanding of the unique requirements of digital content. You’ll build broad-based content strategies, develop compelling and persuasive copy, and collaborate with channel owners, designers, and other team members to bring messaging to life.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Identifying brand-level content strategies and messaging recommendations
  • Developing, coordinating, and deploying a high volume of content for our recruiting site and other platforms
  • Researching and executing best practices for engaging digital audiences and staying up to date with our current tools and technologies
  • Effectively collaborating as a creative partner with internal teams to identify new ideas and develop concepts
  • Initiating and managing your own daily tasks tied to broader team timelines
  • Troubleshooting issues and improving processes relating to content
  • Uploading / publishing content through our website and partner site admins
  • Helping us innovate and improve to better meet the needs of our audiences

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • Creativity, vision, and ideas for how to communicate complex ideas simply
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Previous experience developing and deploying content for digital platforms with a demonstrated ability to deliver a high volume of quality content quickly
  • Previous experience developing and defining brand and/or content strategy; ability to write compelling creative briefs
  • Results-driven with a test-and-learn mentality – we are big on continuous optimization and there’s always room for improvement!
  • Proactive communicator with strong project ownership skills and an effective multi-tasker who is excellent at time management
  • Bachelor’s degree or greater with 3+ years of relevant work experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, PPT and Excel
  • Hands-on experience in publishing tools and/or web development or deployment
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Recruiting, mortgage or financial services experience not necessary, but a plus
