Scrum Master III

UWM is seeking a Scrum Master III who is experienced working with multiple software development teams in a fast-paced, agile environment. We are looking for an innovative servant leader who exemplifies and promotes agile values and principles and is a catalyst for continuous improvement and experimentation. 


  • Guiding and coaching software development teams on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services 
  • Leading teams to a high performing level by recognizing areas of strength and improvement and employing appropriate coaching, quality, and development techniques  
  • Driving and independently leading agile events such as sprint planning, daily scrum, sprint review and sprint retrospectives  
  • Anticipating and facilitating the removal of obstacles that slow down or prevent work completion 
  • Identifying relevant metrics to support defined measurement systems 
  • Helping establish empirical product planning for a complex environment 
  • Catalyzing continuous improvement of processes through collaboration with team and C-level leaders 
  • Ensuring that teams are effectively executing against the highest value priorities 
  • Mentoring associate level Scrum Masters 


Must Have Qualifications::  

  • Minimum 5 years of service to a team in the role of a scrum master 
  • Experience coaching on Agile practices for multiple teams and/or large-scale projects  
  • Deep knowledge of multiple Agile approaches including scaling techniques 
  • Outstanding communication, facilitation, negotiation, and coaching skills 
  • Skilled at refinement, story splitting, estimation, velocity, and other agile techniques and practices 
  • Proficient with work tracking systems such as Jira or TFS 
  • Creativity, flexibility, and problem-solving skills 
  • Expert in all phases of the SDLC 
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn 


Nice to Have Qualifications:

  • Experience implementing scaling frameworks 
  • Computer or business-related bachelor's degree or equivalent  
  • Advanced agile certification and/or scaling certification 
  • Familiarity with Jira
