The Brand Marketing Specialist is responsible for the development, execution and evaluation of integrated marketing and communication strategies to support the growth of our business (United Wholesale Mortgage) and the wholesale mortgage lending channel.

This role will also be responsible for the day-to-day management of initiatives and tactics to deliver on those strategies. You’ll champion and oversee a wide range of marketing activities across the funnel, including research, brand strategy, digital strategy, planning, reporting and a heavy emphasis on content creation. You’ll work in partnership with internal teams across disciplines, existing and prospective clients and industry partners to confidently and consistently define business needs, identify critical content and marketing support gaps, and develop relevant solutions across channels and platforms - including digital, website, email, social media, video, collateral, presentations, paid media, PR, branding and more.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Establishing a broad-based understanding of the mortgage industry, the wholesale mortgage channel and our business at UWM to identify key business needs that can be addressed with integrated marketing solutions
  • Creating concise and engaging content to make the complex simple, through long form and short form storytelling (i.e. blog posts, video scripts, social content etc.)
  • Developing integrated marketing strategies, executing cross-channel marketing plans and continually evaluating and refining these initiatives in support of our business growth efforts
  • Working in close partnership with cross-functional internal teams (i.e. sales, IT), as well as with fellow members of our Marketing Team (i.e. digital, creative, analytics, events, etc.) to foster clear and consistent communication, effectively manage expectations, maintain alignment and ensure high-quality deliverables
  • Supporting external mortgage broker clients and industry partners with marketing expertise across channels as needed
  • Developing high-level strategic thought leadership and translate into plans that are actionable and measurable, both in the short and long-term
  • Implementing consistent measurement techniques and data reporting, using metrics and analytics to inform marketing plans and evaluate at each stage
  • Actively facilitating internal team communication to keep leadership informed and engaged, as well as provide consistent status updates and actionable plans for stakeholders
  • Content proofing for brand consistency, grammar and spelling

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

Must Have Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 4-6 years of proven experience leading integrated marketing strategy, including planning, execution and evaluation.
  • Previous experience as a Brand Strategist or similar role. B2B or business development experience a plus
  • Demonstrated understanding of multi-channel marketing with well-rounded, hands-on experience executing tactics across marketing platforms
  • Ability to identify areas of opportunity and formulate creative marketing solutions that drive results, with a strong understanding of analytics and their importance
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal; Ability to be comfortable and confident in communications with internal and external stakeholders, across levels of seniority and cross-functional teams to build consensus and alignment
  • Thrive in a fast paced environment
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability, reflected by a proactive and conscientious approach that is collaborative and team-oriented
  • Excellent organization skills, detail oriented and thorough
